National Museum of Contemporary Art is located in a new glass wing of the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, one of the largest administrative buildings in the world. The museum hosts 4 floors of exhibitions and events all throughout the year. the top of the building eatures a lookout point over all of Bucharest.
According to Mihai Oroveanu, the museum’s director, MNAC (National Museum of Contemporary Art) opts for an innovative exhibition formula, that of museum in progress, an institution that does not limit itself to archiving and passively managing and compiling a collection, but to propose stimulating projects, to imagine new juxtapositions, new correspondences, to participate in a synthesis of the contemporary arts, of which the film, music, literature, dance are not missing.
