Description

The building that houses the Union of Architects in Bucharest has become a representative tourist objective for the Capital due to its nonconformist architectural style.  At the intersection of Boteanu and Demetru Dobrescu streets, the building rises triumphantly, made in a unique style, by a combination of new and old. The house was built by Grigore Păucescu at the end of the 19th century, when it served as the headquarters of the Austro-Hungarian embassy, before the First World War.

The building usually attracts the attention of passers-by who stop to take a closer look and to take photos.
